Our Sauvignon Blanc and Tempranillo grapes are currently being harvested from the Son Amaret Vineyards. Due to the extremely favourable conditions throughout spring and summer, such as hot summer days, little rain and light breezes, our grapes are already saturated and ready to be harvested.
By starting the harvesting process slightly earlier this year, we aim to keep the alcohol percentage on the same level as we did last year. This is both a step towards consistency and quality, something we strive for with our Son Amaret brand.
In the Son Amaret vineyards, all our grapes are harvested by hand. Being a very small vineyard, heavy machinery would not ensure the same amount of qualitative harvest of grapes. Thus, we believe harvesting by hand yields higher amounts of grapes, while at the same time ensuring only top-quality grapes make it into the wine.
